Dear Pharmacology Colleagues,

It is my proud privilege as the Organizing secretary of NAPTICON-2025 to welcome you all to the 4th National Annual Conference of National Association of Pharmacology & Therapeutics in the Cotton city & Manchester of South India, COIMBATORE. We are fortunate to organize this two-day conference in PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, COIMBATORE, preceded by one-day pre- conference workshop. I look forward to welcoming each one of you at the conference on the theme “Crafting Clinical Excellence with Pharmacology and Therapeutics”. PSG Institutions have a 99 years legacy in education and industry in our country. On 25th January 1926, a Trust under the name of ‘P.S. GOVINDASWAMY NAIDU & SONS & came into being to cater to the growing needs of education and industry in Coimbatore.

PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSGIMS&R) was started in 1985, PSG IMSR Offers undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD, MS), and super-specialty (DM, MCh) courses in various medical disciplines. PSG medical campus has 1550 bedded hospitals including PSGIMS & R Medical college Hospital, PSG Superspeciality Hospital and PSG Institute of Oncology with modern upgraded diagnostic and treatment facilities including robotic surgeries.

As a well-known research organization, PSGIMSR collaborates with various national and international institutions for academic and research purposes and PSG CMMT focuses on stem cell research, cancer research, neurosciences, toxicology genomics, etc. PSG IMSR also holds   NABH and NABL recognition consistently being one among the top 50 position in NIRF rankings.  PSG IMSR is known for its well established Central animal facility dedicated to quality animal research including big animal research recognition under CPCSEA.

The Department of Pharmacology provides imparting quality education for both MBBS, and MD (Pharmacology) and has a recognized PSG IMS&R  ADR Monitoring Centre under NCC- PvPI and holds 3^rd  place for supporting PVPI  activities (2024 report) without PV associates.  Pharmacology department is equipped with skilled lab facilities, excellent infrastructure for postgraduate teaching & Research, antimicrobial stewardship, and Therapeutic audit. The Department of Pharmacology supports Hospitals for Therapeutic Drug Committee, TDM, Quality care, Administration, Medical education, IHEC, and IAEC and contributes effectively to drug development.

I am sure the NAPTICON 2025 conference will bring an opportunity to interact with hundreds of fellow Pharmacologists across the country, learn from eminent experts of the specialty, discover the details in the specialty, and share the knowledge and ideas in the interactive sessions along with the richness of Coimbatore culture, weather, tasty food and many scenic places to visit. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a magnificent event.
